Ted Nugent

Biographie

Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (Sweaty Teddy, Theodocious Atrocious, The Nuge ou encore The Motor City Madman) , naît le 13 décembre 1948 à Détroit. C'est un guitariste de Hard Rock qui s'est fait connaître en jouant avec Amboy Dukes.Ceux qui le connaissent, savent que Ted est un Rockeur-maniaco-chasseur-patrio-américano. Certaines de ses chansons lui ressemblent beaucoup. Il est également connu comme membre de la NRA (National Rifle Association). Il est aussi favorable à la peine de mort sur les criminels et favorable de l'auto-défense (pouvoir attaquer quelqu'un qui nous attaque.)

Ted s'est marié 2 fois et a eu 4 enfant l'un d'eux est mort, dans un accident de voiture... Il veut, également, devenir gouverneur du Michigan.

Les premières années

Ted Nugent, commença à jouer de la guitare, à l'âge de 9 ans. Le premier groupe de Ted, fut Royal High Boys (1960-1961), suivit de The Lourds (1962-1964) qui, grâce à Ted et l'un de ses solos, remporta un Battle Of The Band.

Les années Amboy Dukes

Son prochain groupe ,qui eut un succès international avec "Journey to the Center of the Mind" (#16 en 1968), sera The Amboy Dukes. Le groupe, qui devint Ted Nugent And The Amboy Dukes, changea souvent de membres, à cause de la politique anti-drogue de Ted. Ted quit finalement The Amboy Dukes, après avoir signé avec Epic. Il est important de savoir que les Amboy Dukes ont signés avec Frank Zappa, pendant leur carrière.

Les années Nuge

Ted n'est pas seul, il a pour équipe Derek St.Holmes(guitare, vocal), Rob Grange (bass), Cliff Davies (baterrie). Ted devint encore plus populaire, quand il lança Cat Scratch Fever et Stranglehold à la face du monde. Par la suite, l'équipe de Ted se brisa. St. Holmes fut remplacé par Charlie Huhn et Grange par Dave Kiswiney. Davies quitta Ted vers 1982.

Les années Damn Yankees

Qui sont les Damn Yankees? C'est un Supergroup, composé de Tommy Shaw (Styx), Jack Blades (Night Ranger) , The Nuge et Michael Cartellone (Qui? :tongue: ). Leur style était très Hard Rock. Le groupe , formé en 1989, fut produit par Ron Nevison. Le premier album devint double-platine. Le groupe eut plusieurs succès mais , en 1996, Ted décida de revenir à sa carrière solo.

Les années solo

Ted, étant de retour à sa carrière, mit sur les tablettes l'album Spirit Of The Wild qui est une compilation de ses meilleurs morceaux.

Damnocracy

En 2006, Ted fut l'invité d'une émission de télé réalité nommé Supergroup (en français, "Les Sauveurs Du Rock"). Avec Scott Ian (Anthrax), Evan Seinfield (Biohazard), Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row) et Jason Bonham (fils de John Bonham, batteur de Led Zeppelin), il créa le groupe Fist qui devint Damnocracy. Ted a ,également, jammer , dans le cadre de l'émission, avec Joe Bonamassa, un bluesman blanc.
