Groupe de Hard Rock formé en 1979 par Ozzy Osbourne après son départ de Black Sabbath. Le groupe n'a pas de nom particulier à l'heure actuelle, mais lors de sa création il était nommé The Blizzard Of Ozz.

Biographie

Après son départ de Black Sabbath en 1979, Ozzy Osbourne décide de poursuivre sa carrière sous son propre nom.
Sur recommandation de sa maison de disques, il recrute alors des musiciens chevronnés et coutumiers du travail en studio pour enregistrer ses albums. On trouve parmi ceux-ci Randy Rhoads de Quiet Riot à la guitare, Bob Daisley de Rainbow à la basse et Lee Kerslake à la batterie.

Après avoir décroché un nouveau contrat avec la maison de disques Epic Records (CBS), il se rend dans les locaux de celle-ci pour rencontrer certains managers. Pour se faire remarquer, il emporte avec lui deux colombes, qu'il prévoyait de lacher en faisant son entrée. Cette idée aurait été préparée par Sharon. Cependant une fois là-bas, il arrache la tête d'une des colombes avec ses dents et la recrache, devant des spectateurs stupéfaits. Il laissera partir l'autre. Cette anecdote construit la "légende" Ozzy...

Ozzy sort son premier album solo Blizzard of Ozz en 1980. Celui-ci sera suivi de 9 autres albums studio.

S.A.T.O n'esy pas l'acronyme de "Sailing Across The Ocean". Bob Daisley précise:

"...A l'origine ce titre s'intitulait "Strange Voyage", et après que je quitte
le groupe, ils ont changé le titre en "S.A.T.O." et cela signifiait juste "Sharon Adrian
Thelma Ozzy". Parce que Sharon à cette époque avait un petit ami nommé Adrian, et à l'époque
la femme d'Ozzy était Thelma. Les gens ont essayé d'en comprendre le sens,
'Oh, ça reste "Sail Across the Ocean" ou ce genre de chose, mais ça signifiait juste çà."

C'est une compilation de titres Live et de B-Sides de singles provenant des

de la légende de la six-cordes Randy Rhoads sur les 5 premiers titres.
Sur les 5 autres c'ets son remplaçant Jake E. Lee aux guitares. L'album
