Groupe de Heavy Metal finlandais fondé en 1989 par Ari Honkonen.
Il s'est d'abord appelé Testator, puis Thor's Hammer en 1990 avant de se renommer Morningstar en 1991.
A ses débuts, le groupe jouait du Black Metal.
Morningstar s'est séparé en 2007.
