Dan Swanö

Dan Swanö est un musicien (multi-instrumentaliste), vocaliste, compositeur et producteur suédois. Il est né le 10 mars 1973 à Finspång, en Suède.
Il est considéré comme étant une grande influence dans le milieu Death Metal, mais aussi Metal Progressif et Rock Progressif. Il a notamment déjà participé à un nombre impressionnant de groupes ou de projets musicaux.

Biographie
Dan Swanö a été le leader d'un bon nombre de groupes, notamment Edge Of Sanity, Nightingale (avec son frère ainé Dag Swanö), Pan.Thy.Monium, Brejn Dedd, Unicorn, Infestdead et Route Nine.
Il fit aussi partie pendant quelques temps de plusieurs autres groupes, comme Katatonia, Ribspreader, ou plus récemment Bloodbath, dans lequel il officiait à la batterie jusqu'en 2004, puis à la guitare jusqu'en 2006. Il quitta le groupe récemment car, selon lui, "le groupe n'a plus besoin de ses services", car il ne peut en fait pas partir en tournée avec celui-ci.
Bien que participant à un grand nombre de réalisations, Dan travaille toujours en tant qu'assistant responsable des ventes dans un magasin de disques, non-loin de chez lui, en Suède. Il participe rarement à des concerts avec ses groupes.
Il possède son propre studio, d'abord appelé Gorysound, puis Unisound Studios, où il enregistre et produit lui-même un grand nombre de groupes, parmi les plus connus : Marduk, Dark Funeral, Merciless, Dawn, Dissection, Opeth et Katatonia.
